Founders’ Day of Giving is a crowdfunding initiative hosted by the Sigma Delta Tau Foundation to celebrate 107 years of sisterhood by encouraging charitable giving that will directly impact members. This year we are planning a week of generosity, inviting sisters to “Celebrate your sisterhood era.” Through the power of social media and crowdfunding, we will honor Sigma Delta Tau’s founding while giving give back to the sisterhood that has given so much to us.

The Foundation will rally energy behind this charitable event through email, print mail, text messaging and social media. Donors support the emerging needs of SDT members with their Founders’ Day of Giving donation. This includes support for scholarships, leadership initiatives, safety, wellness, and hardship. Throughout the event, special giving challenges and incentives will be offered to help unite our sisterhood and inspire donations. The more we raise, the larger the impact we make for our sisters.

Yes, the minimum donation amount is $7.00. There is no maximum amount.

Your donation on Founders’ Day of Giving impacts the emerging needs of SDT members. This includes support for scholarships, leadership initiatives, safety, wellness, and hardship response.

If you would like to support a specific area, you may select a designation on the online giving form.

Yes, we have giveaways! All donation levels will receive a commemorative magnet and DAMGIRL Nation donors will receive a laptop sticker. Additional incentives will be offered with giving challenges throughout the event. The chapter who wins the Long Live SDT Chapter Challenge will receive special recognition at Convention 2024.

A fun, competitive challenge to show your chapter pride by selecting your SDT chapter on the giving form while making your donation. The SDT chapter with the most donors during Founders’ Day of Giving will receive special recognition at SDT Convention 2024. Chapters do not need to be active to receive recognition.
